The Problem
Running credit checks on tenants used to be hard! It often involved gathering and filling in paper forms, phone calls and visits to the post office. We were asked to design and build a system to automate this process, making it as quick and easy as possible for landlords and letting agents to qualify their prospective tenants.
The Solution
After extensive usability research, we created LettingRef - the easiest way to reference tenants online. By understanding how landlords and letting agents worked we were able to produce a system tailored to their needs and solve a problem that people had begun to just accept as part of their daily routine.
The result
Credit checking a tenant can now take minutes instead of days, and all of the various bits of information is now collected and stored digitally for easy retrieval. LettingRef can email the tenant and ask them to fill in their details, collect references from previous landlords and employers and present them all in a very intuitive format.
