Umbraco Gallery Package - jqGallery

We've now adopted umbraco for many of our client websites, having been impressed by the ease of use, extensibility and the fantastic community.

From the community, we've benefited from the work of others and have decided as a company that we should pass our knowledge & experience back into the community as we create components that could be reused.

With that in mind, we've created (mostly developer-centric) packages for embedding flash and flv video players, and for changing the mime type/content disposition of a page.

Now we're releasing a simple gallery plugin for use by end users. You can see a demo of this plugin at this address, and can download the package itself from http://our.umbraco.org/projects/website-utilities/jqgallery.

Any bug reports etc should go in the forums at the our.umbraco site, but feel free to post any questions or feedback in the comments to this page.

Nice to see an agency who actually care about the community and the work they release.

Go Gecko, leave almost everything else in the dust. :)

We're looking to let club members post their own photos to our web site (to lessen the workload of our webmaster). Is this possible? It would be great to have a gallery page that showed thumbnails or a summary of all the members' individual galleries. Then, you'd click there to see a member's actual photos. Nested galleries I guess.

      Hi Olga

Thanks for the heads-up, I've updated the link (umbraco changed their site structure).

      Cheers!
      Dan
